Q:i'm doing the stomach vacuum and it feels right, but it doesn't look like the girl in the video. is that okay? also, what keeps you motivated. i've had so many slip ups and they just keep happening. i'll be fine for one whole week, and then after that I start to die down, then I have to restart and for the first week again, I'm pumped. arghhh
If it feels right, you’re probably doing it right.
That girl in the video is incredibly thin and toned, so it’s going to look different when she does it. I am going to make a video of me doing a tutorial, because she explains it in a confusing way.
If you want a step-by-step guide…
1. Exhale to the point where you can’t exhale anymore. (You might have to do this in increments, DO NOT breathe back in at any time. As you breathe out, your stomach will probably expand.)
2. Begin to suck in
3. Stretch your torso
4. Expand your chest
5. Continue to inhale, try to concentrate on getting your belly button to touch your back. (You may want to close your eyes for this, it helps concentrate better.)
7. Hold as long as possible.
8. Exhale
Since all of the air is outside of your lungs, you SHOULD be able to make your stomach go in farther than you’ve ever been able to just “suck in”
